THE ROLE OF THE ASSESSOR

With a non-bureaucratic approach, Assessors add value and assess the effectiveness of organisations against the requirements of the Hospitality Assured Standard. Feedback is a key element. They look at all levels of an organisation that contribute to Business Excellence.

Once an Assessor has been appointed an assessment visit, booked by MQA on behalf of HA, whether it is a first time assessment or re-assessment visit he or she will agree a plan of who to see with the key person contact at the organisation to be assessed, as approved by the MQA HA scheme manager.

The Assessor, as a sole assessor or part of a Team, provides an independent unbiased evaluation of a business at the time of the visit and compiles, usually off-site post visit, a documented report. The report is reviewed, approved and authorised by MQA and in turn HA prior to issue in completed form.

During the Assessment is your opportunity to show the Assessor that what you say you do as an organisation you actually deliver and demonstrate Excellence.
