Searcy at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, is the first catering operation at an opera, ballet and dance theatre ever to gain Hospitality Assured.
The scope of the Hospitality Assured assessment related to all catering services provided by Searcy to the customers, staff and artists of The Royal Opera House.
Presenting the Hospitality Assured Certificate and Plaque to James Cornewall-Walker, general manager of Searcy at The Royal Opera House, Philippe Rossiter FIH, Chief Executive of the Institute of Hospitality, said: “James Cornewall-Walker and his team are to be congratulated on their fine achievement in gaining Hospitality Assured; and being the first opera, ballet and dance venue ever to achieve the Standard. In so doing, they join an elite band of prestigious organisations that have achieved Hospitality Assured in London. These include the world renowned hotel The Ritz, London; the 5-star Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington; the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall; One Great George Street conference, wedding and events venue in Westminster; Church House conference centre, also in Westminster; and the Victory Services Club in Seymour Street.”
