The Hill Gains Prestigious Service Award

The Hill Education & Conference Centre has joined an elite band of organisations, including The Ritz, London, to achieve Hospitality Assured.

The Abergavenny centre, which is part of Coleg Gwent, is only the second conference venue in Wales to achieve the accreditation. The other is Gregynog Conference Centre, part of the University of Wales, in Montgomeryshire.

The Hill Education & Conference Centre was assessed by a team of independent UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service) assessors from MQA Ltd. on behalf of the Institute of Hospitality, which is the professional body for hospitality industry managers worldwide.

Linda Swanson, Campus Director at The Hill Education and Conference Centre said: “We are very proud to accept this prestigious award, which puts The Hill Education & Conference Centre firmly on the map as a centre providing high quality service and business excellence. My thanks go to all our staff for the dedication and effort they have put in to achieving this standard – it has been a great team effort, so well done to everyone.”

The Hill Education & Conference Centre is one of six campuses at Coleg Gwent. Coleg Gwent is Wales’ largest further education college with more than 35,000 students.
