One of North Wales’ top country house hotels has achieved the Institute of Hospitality’s internationally recognised Hospitality Assured Standard for delivering service and business excellence in hospitality. The hotel in question is the 29-bedroom Tre-ysgawen Hall Hotel and Spa near Llangefni, on the Isle of Anglesey.
Welcoming the award at a recently held presentation – watched by all the staff – the hotel’s Chief Executive Neil Rowlands said: “This is a great credit to every member of the team at Tre-ysgawen and is testimony to their hard work and enthusiasm in ensuring a memorable stay and experience for each and every one of our visitors.
“We are delighted and honoured to be one of only a handful of prestigious hotels in the country who have received this accreditation and I want to thank all our staff on the achievement and of course all our loyal customers, who continue to stay at Tre-ysgawen.”
The hallmark of Hospitality Assured recognition is a powerful desire to exceed customer’s expectations within a culture of continuous improvement and business excellence. An independent team of assessors visited the four-star Hotel over a two-day period to talk to and interview staff; and Tre-ysgawen achieved well above the first time average score required – with a total score of almost 67 per cent.
Presenting a special Hospitality Assured certificate and plaque, to mark the occasion, Ann Corrigan Deputy Chief Executive of the Institute of Hospitality, said:” The management and all the staff are to be congratulated on their fine achievement .The Hospitality Assured assessors were particularly impressed by the level of concentration placed on the entire guest experience – a fact reflected in the hotel’s high customer satisfaction ratings.
“The potential for enhancing the services and environment of the hotel, through listening to the customers, is well understood by the management team. I hope that many more hotels in North Wales will follow Tre-ysgawen Hall’s excellent example and attempt to gain Hospitality Assured accreditation in the coming months.”
A former country mansion, Tre-ysgawen is regarded as one of the most prestigious and stylish hotels of its kind in the UK. Set in 11 acres of private grounds, the hotel also includes a £4.5 million Spa, which itself has won many top awards.
