Lucknam Park
One of the UK’s finest luxury country house hotels – the 41-bedroom Lucknam Park at Colerne, near Bath – has achieved Hospitality Assured.
Commenting on the news, Harry Murray MBE FIH MI, Managing Director of Lucknam Park, said: "We are delighted to be accredited to the Hospitality Assured Standard for Service and Business Excellence. We were all aware that the process for achieving Hospitality Assured is rigorous, but we were encouraged by the benefits the accreditation would bring in terms of continuous improvements."
"The assessment was carried out by two experienced professionals who quickly established a good working relationship with our team and gave them the opportunity to express their views on standards. I would like to pay tribute to our team, and in particular Michelle Pepper our Human Resources Manager, for all the hard work they put in prior to the assessment. At Lucknam Park, we all have a passionate desire to exceed customer expectations and we now have measurable procedures in place for continuous improvements and business excellence."
Institute of Hospitality Chief Executive Philippe Rossiter FIH said: "I would like to congratulate Harry and his team at Lucknam Park for the hotel’s fine achievement in gaining Hospitality Assured, with an initial overall Hospitality Assured score that is well in excess of the minimum required to gain the Standard. This reflects Lucknam Park’s determination and commitment not to rely on its renowned reputation for guest comfort, attentive personal service and award-winning dining, but to continuously improve the high quality of service and business excellence it provides its clientele.
"Lucknam Park is the first luxury country house hotel in the West of England ever to achieve Hospitality Assured; and I hope many more will follow the hotel’s inspirational example, and endeavour to gain the industry-specific Standard in the coming months."
